Emergency services have said that it was miraculous that three young men walked away from a crash that destroyed the car they were in.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service has highlighted the dangers of rural roads after sharing images of a serious crash earlier this week on the A6108 between Leyburn and Richmond, North Yorkshire.
In images shared from the incident, a car can be seen smashed in the middle of the road, while emergency services can be seen working at the scene.
Meanwhile, the front end of the car has disappeared, and the sides of the car look like they have been shunted.
Posting to its social media page, Richmond Fire Station said the three people in the car were 'lucky'.
The post read: "We attended this incident the other night where three young men amazingly walked away from this car. We provided scene safety while the ambulance and police dealt with the occupants."

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue added: "Leyburn and Richmond crews attended following a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision.
"On arrival, crews confirmed three occupants were out of the vehicle and in care of Ambulance paramedics on scene.
"Fire and Rescue crews provided scene safety, then left the incident with police in attendance."
