Emergency services were on the scene as two people were left with injuries after a three-vehicle collision on a County Durham road.

Durham Police have confirmed two people were left with minor injuries after a crash between a bus and two vehicles in Tantobie, Stanley on Tuesday (March 14).

Police were called to the crash, which involved a Vauxhall Astra, Range Rover, and bus, shortly before 4pm.

The incident was also attended by the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) who said they deployed one ambulance and clinical team leader in response, treating one person at the scene.

In a statement today, an NEAS spokesperson said: "We were called at 16:01pm yesterday to a road traffic collision between a bus and two vehicles in Tantobie, Stanley.

"We sent one emergency ambulance and one clinical team leader. One patient was treated on scene." 

Police also confirmed all vehicles were recovered from the scene and the road was cleared by 6pm.

In a statement today, a Durham Police spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision in Tantobie, just before 4pm yesterday (March 14).

"The incident involved a Vauxhall Astra, Range Rover and a bus.

"Colleagues from the ambulance service also attended and treated two people on scene for what were believed to be minor injuries.

"All vehicles were then recovered and the road was clear by 6pm."
