Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash near a busy North East road.
Emergency services were alerted to a road traffic collision road traffic collision near Longlands Road shortly after 5pm this afternoon (March 14).
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) confirmed they sent a clinical team leader and two emergency ambulance crews to the scene just off the A66 sliproad.
They treated two people and took them to the James Cook University Hospital.

In a statement, an NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call this evening at 5.34pm to reports of a road traffic incident involving multiple vehicles on Longlands Road in Middlesbrough.
"We sent a clinical team leader and two emergency ambulance crews and took two patients to James Cook hospital for further treatment."

Cleveland Police confirmed there had been an incident in the area and advised motorists to take an alternative route while they dealt with the incident.
The A172 from the A66 eastbound exit slip road to Longlands Road was closed for several hours and has since reopened.
