Police say they are urgently looking for a missing Helmsley woman while they grow increasingly concerned for her welfare using police helicopters in an ‘extensive’ search.

Chelsea Allen, 31, went missing from her home in Helmsley at 3am on Sunday (June 26) morning.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and are carrying out ‘extensive’ searches using a police helicopter and the operational support unit in and around the Helmsley area.

Chelsea was last seen wearing a navy blue long-sleeved t-shirt with white pattern sleeves, grey jogging bottoms and trainers – she also has several tattoos.

North Yorkshire Police are now seeking the publics help and have asked anyone who might information on Chelsea to get in touch.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Anyone who has any information which could help officers with their enquiries should contact police on 101. If you have an immediate sighting of Chelsea, please call 999.
