EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD midfielder Isiah Cornet has signed a professional contract at Middlesbrough.

The Frenchman, who has made 14 Premier League 2 appearances this season and scored one goal, puts pen-to-paper at the Riverside after completing three years at the club as a scholar.

Cornet signed for Boro in 2018 after a successful trial period and has gone on to establish himself in the youth set up.

He is a product of the US Torcy academy, where Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba played in his youth days.

The news comes as Boro tied down full-back Jack Robinson to a professional deal earlier this week.

The 18-year-old made his full debut in Boro's 3-0 defeat to Wycombe on the final day of the season.
