IT was reassuring to see on the front page of The Northern Echo (Apr 30) the story on the recent suspension of Cleveland Police’s Assistant Chief Constable Adrian Roberts, headlined “
”.
Many have criticised the hierarchy of Cleveland Police over the years, and either not being able, or wanting to divulge the reason for Assistant Chief Constable Roberts’ suspension only fuels further mistrust.
One hopes the National Crime Agency will be able to be more open and transparent on this latest issue surrounding the top of the force.
