One person was taken to hospital yesterday afternoon following a two-car crash in Stockton, which trapped a commuter in their car.
Shortly after 3:30pm yesterday (Tuesday, June 10), officers from Cleveland Police and firefighters from Cleveland Fire Brigade and paramedics from North East Ambulance Service were called to the junction of Allison Street and Victoria Street, the A1035, and Bishopton Lane in Stockton.
Two cars were reported to have been involved with the fire service saying one person was trapped in one of the vehicles and needed to be freed.
In a statement, a spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service confirmed one person had been taken to hospital.

A spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on Tuesday 10 June at 15:33 on Bishopton Lane in Stockton. We dispatched one ambulance crew and one clinical team leader, and one patient was taken to University Hospital of North Tees".
The road was shut for a number of hours while the vehicles were recovered.
Cleveland Police has been contacted for an update on the condition of the patient taken to hospital.
