Floral tributes have been left to a 23-year-old biker who was killed in a crash in Newton Aycliffe.
Cameron Stewart has been named locally as the young motorcyclist who died in a crash with a car on Williamfield Way in Newton Aycliffe on Tuesday, June 3.
Despite the efforts of paramedics including the air ambulance, the 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
It happened at about 5.55pm, at about the same time a memorial event was taking place for Wayne Hodgson, from Newton Aycliffe, on what would have been his 19th birthday.
Wayne and 13-year-old pal Bobby Grimes, also from Aycliffe, died in a crash at nearby Rushyford on July 5 last year when their motorbike was hit by a car after swerving into oncoming traffic.
A number of floral tributes for Cameron have been placed at the scene over the last 48 hours.
Flowers, balloons and written tributes have been placed on the corner of Williamfield Way and Kirkstone Place by mourners of all ages paying their respects.
One read: "Cameron, you were a force of nature, a friend, a work colleague at Coffee Pronto and a beautiful soul.
"We will miss you, so will all of Aycliffe. Love from Sean, Huey and the Cafe H.Q crew x".
A woman was arrested in connection with Cameron’s death and remains in police custody at this time.

Detectives are investigating and locals can expect to see an increased police presence over the coming days, Durham Police said.
A Durham Police spokesperson added: "Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage of the vehicles prior to the incident.
