The pub and hotel have now come up for a £550k price tag, due to retirement, after 20 years of ownership from the current owners.

Here are the main details of the pub:

  • Retirement sale after 20 years of ownership
  • Attractive rural village location in North Yorkshire
  • Historic Grade II listed building which dates back to 1445
  • Features 3 bars, a large restaurant, an outdoor area and 11 ensuite bedrooms
  • In addition to the pub, there is a parcel of land extending to c. 7 acres which is available to purchase by separate negotiation

David Cash, regional director of Pubs & Restaurants at Christie & Co is managing the sales process.

He said: “The Rose & Crown is a superb example of a historic coaching inn which has retained many of its original features for hundreds of years.

"Despite being a rural country inn and benefitting hugely from the seasonal tourism trade, the local bar is incredibly popular and a healthy amount of beer is consumed on a weekly basis.”
