EasyJet has announced that it has relaunched flights to Alicante from Newcastle International Airport.
The low-cost airline, which also operates year-round flights to Belfast and Bristol, up to five-weekly summer flights to Majorca and weekly winter flights to Geneva, will now operate a twice-weekly service to Alicante throughout the summer on Tuesdays and Saturdays until the end of October.
These new flights are in addition to the recent announcement that easyJet will relaunch its route from Newcastle to Amsterdam, with flights taking off from September 5, 2024, and operating twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the year.
EasyJet’s latest investment gives customers in the North East even more choice when travelling to some of Europe’s most popular city and beach destinations with Alicante being well known for its rich culture, stunning sun-kissed beaches and fantastic weather.

Newcastle Airport has recently invested over £20m in the passenger experience, redeveloping the security search area and refurbishing the majority of catering outlets in the departure lounge. The Airport’s executive lounge has also benefited from a multi-million-pound redevelopment and is now marked as one of the ‘flagship’ Aspire Lounges in the country.
Flights to Alicante with easyJet operate every Tuesday and Saturday from Newcastle Airport with fares starting from £28.99 one way.
