Police in Middlesbrough have raided two cannabis farms worth £826,000 combined.

Both farms were found on Essex Street, Middlesbrough, on February 1 and February 2, 2024.

Officers seized a total of 423 plants from one and 403 at the other.

Cleveland Police are asking anyone with information regarding drugs activity in their area to contact them.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Officers from Middlesbrough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have seized two cannabis farms over the past two days.

"Both cannabis farms were located in properties on Essex Street, Middlesbrough, on Thursday 1st February and Friday 2nd February.

"A total of 423 cannabis plants were seized from one property while 403 plants were recovered from the second, meaning approximately £826,000 worth of cannabis was seized.
