Many high profile brands and businesses have lodged plans to open new stores in a North East shopping centre this year.

Retailers such as Lush and B&M have both opened new locations at Teesside Park in Thornaby in 2023, while other big names are set to come to the site in 2024.

Meanwhile, giant retailer Primark have confirmed their store will be coming to the retail park in the summer.

A proposal to erect a canopy above an existing side door was submitted to Stockton Borough Council (SBC) for the site on Christmas Day (December 25).

Adding to this, a Teesside Park spokesperson confirmed Ninja Warrior will be coming to the park following talks for vacant former Rainbow Casino site.

Frasers Group, who is involved with Teesside Park, near Stockton and Middlesbrough, revealed in August that two new leases have been signed at the shopping centre - which will see big moves for four individual retailers.

Under the plans, Sports Direct will double in size to 40,000sq ft and feature both a GAME and Evans Cycles, alongside a 20,000sq ft FLANNELS that will open following a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing Sports Direct space.

  • MenKind - Retailer Menkind has announced that it is in discussions to relocate its current store on Teesside Park into a bigger and better shop. It has closed its branch that was located next to USC.
  • Primark - A proposal to erect a canopy above an existing side door is the latest application to be submitted to Stockton Borough Council (SBC) for Unit 11 at Teesside Park in Thornaby on Christmas Day (December 25). Signs on the unit have confirmed the retailer will be coming to the park in the summer.
  • Ninja Warrior - Ninja Warrior are in talks to take over the site of the vacant former Rainbow Casino which closed in 2016.
  • B&M garden centre - The garden centre will be opening in Teesside Park between spring and summer this year.
  • Nike Unite - A Teesside Park spokesperson has confirmed Nike will be coming to the retail park.
