A North Yorkshire teenager, who built a business from his bedroom during the pandemic, has rebranded his products to reflect his heritage.

Harvey Moss, now 16 and from Leyburn, set up his fragrance business when he was just 14, under the name ‘Melt ‘n’ Soak’.

His diffusers have since been picked up by high-profile shops and hotels and sold all over the region, as well as online.

Harvey said: “I wanted to name the business to reflect not just what I sell, but where I’m from. I’m incredibly proud to be a Yorkshireman and of being from the heart of the Dales. So, Dales Diffusers was born.”

Harvey is juggling this rebrand with a whole host of other things too, including passing 11 GCSEs, studying for three A-Levels, and his part-time role at The Wensleydale Heifer as a part of their front of house team.

Throughout the festive period, he’ll also be attending Christmas fairs to sell his products.

Harvey said: “Last year, on the first day of the Tennants Christmas Fair, I completely sold out of all I’d taken in just a couple of hours and had to dash home to collect all the rest of my stock. That soon sold out too.

“I love that people seem to like the diffusers so much, it’s a real honour to think so many people have them in their homes.”
