An investigation has been launched after ten bags of coffee worth £150 were stolen from a coffee shop in Newcastle City Centre whilst customers were still in the store.
Police are making enquiries about a theft that occurred at Black Sheep Coffee on Grainger Street in Newcastle on Sunday, November 12 at around 7pm whilst the store was still open and trading.
The business, which has been open in Newcastle since the start of the year, sells everything from a variety of coffees to toasties and waffles.

Owner Sarah Peaceful spoke of the ordeal as staff members swiftly reported the incident to the police after they fled the scene.
She said: “There was around six customers and four staff members in the store at the time, and then the coffee beans were taken from the display shelves on the customer side.
“They cost around £11 a bag, and they must think they make great Christmas presents. We do make great coffee and the beans are excellent.
“When it happened, the staff just got on with their job, reported what had happened to the police and then closed as normal.”
The Black Sheep Coffee chain has multiple locations across the country, including in London, Leeds and Edinburgh.
However, despite this experience, Sarah admitted that she is proud of her staff who jumped in to action.
She added: “Nobody would ever want this to happen, but I am so proud of the staff who handled it excellently. Nobody was hurt.
“They settled down the customers and made sure everyone was safe and happy.”
Police have since confirmed that enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At 7.30pm on Sunday, we received a report of theft at Black Sheep Coffee on Grainger Street, in Newcastle city centre.
