"If you have great customer service skills or would like to learn something new and develop your skills, apply now for an interview online, or pop into our Thirsk restaurant.

"Interviews are available the next day, to start the same week's training in our Thirsk restaurant, or a later date if this is best."

Matthew Wharton, director of Wharton Construction, who has been building the new McDonald's, added: "We are constructing the highly anticipated new McDonalds in Northallerton.

"It will be a standard-sized drive-through.

"The building itself is getting craned in two halves.

"It will bring in a lot of new jobs to the area.

"Before this branch was finished people had to go all the way to Leeming Bar.

"It would have been a 15-minute drive but soon people will have a McDonald's on their doorstep."

Plans for the site show how it will have an outdoor seating area, parking spaces and drive-through lanes.

Keep an eye out for the job adverts that will be popping up soon to fill all the roles at the new drive-through.
