The 154th Weardale Show was a huge success as hundreds flocked to the dales to enjoy the festivities.

Pictures from the event revealed the range of attractions for visitors on the day from climbing walls to falconry displays.

There was a horse and pony competition with a range of fantastic entries.

The refreshments tent was brimming with delicious food and drinks to keep visitors happy and full throughout the day.

Local farmers and craftspeople had impressive displays of their goods from cheese to knitted items.

A spokesperson said: "Individual sections acknowledge their grateful support for sponsors for specific classes, but we would like to acknowledge a range of individuals and businesses who make valuable contributions to the show, indeed without whom there would be no show. 

"We are very grateful to Councillor Anita Savory for donating £1444 from his Neighbourhood Budget Fund to help with the cost of the show this year.
