Police are trying to find a mobile phone that was in a backpack stolen from a 12-year-old autistic boy.
He was targeted by a group of youths at around 5.30pm on Friday in Quarrington Hill.
The phone is an HONOR X7A with a red London wrap around phone box case, it has a screen save of a small python snake.

A spokesman for Durham City Police said: “Inside the bag was his mobile phone which is his lifeline. The youths involved are believed to be local to the area.
“If you are from the area can you please have a chat with your kids in case they are aware of this incident.

“At least two of the kids involved spoke to the main suspect and informed him he should give the phone back however this was not done.
“The investigation continues, however the return of the phone is a priority due to its importance to the owner and his family.”
