Five pubs in County Durham are looking for new owners with one venue described as a 'fantastic destination pub'.

Locations range from prime spots in Lanchester to Bishop Auckland and Durham.

The sales come as pubs across England are facing a tough time with rising energy costs and higher prices for food.

Here are five of the best pubs available:

1. King's Head, Station Road, Lanchester, Co Durham, DH7 0EX

Annual rent of the site costs just over £20,000.

3. Miners Arms, Manor Road, Consett, Durham, Co Durham, DH8 6QN

A traditional pub tucked away two miles north-east of Consett, this will be perfect for a new owner to hit the ground running.

The establishment has a great reputation for good food and plenty of drinks.
