Loki, Siberian Husky, 2-5 years old

The Northern Echo:

Loki is in need of an adult-only home with no other pets or visiting children.

A handful like his namesake, he requires guidance and time and will need to be the sole focus of his owner's attention.

Loki is a strong dog on the leash and will require plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.

He is a sweet and playful boy once he warms up to you, but he can be wary of new faces.

Potential adopters will need to meet Loki multiple times before bringing him home.

Lexi, Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, 5-7 years old

The Northern Echo:

Lexi needs a home without other pets or children under the age of 16.

She prefers the company of people rather than dogs and is a quiet and calm dog.

Lexi has spent the majority of her life living outside and is currently in a foster home, where she has settled with ease.

She is fully housetrained and enjoys travelling in the car.

Lexi is currently undergoing muzzle training and would benefit from quieter walks, with few dogs and people around.

If you think you could provide Lexi with a loving home, the Dogs Trust would love to hear from you.

Rex, Cocker Spaniel cross, 5-7 years old

The Northern Echo:

Rex is an active boy who loves his toys, though he can be a bit possessive of them.

Rex can live with older children and may share a home with another dog, but he may prefer to be the sole focus of attention.

Rex is housetrained and can be left alone for short periods of time.

If you are looking to add a fun and playful member to your family, Rex could be the perfect match.

Gerry, Bulldog, 2-5 years old

The Northern Echo:

This lad is full of energy and enthusiasm but can become bit too energetic, leading to unwanted behaviours.

Gerry requires confident owners who can provide positive training and guidance.

He can live with older teenagers and would benefit from a family who can dedicate plenty of time to his training while providing mental stimulation and fun activities.

Gerry is still working on his interactions with other dogs and would be best suited to a home where he is the only pet.

If you are up for the challenge of training and providing a loving home for Gerry, the Dogs Trust would love to hear from you.

Cookie, Bulldog, 6-12 months old

The Northern Echo:

This bulldog loves a quiet environment and has a bit sensitive side.

As such, the centre recommends she be adopted by a home without children, or with children who are at least 13 years old.

Cookie will need time to come around to her new environment and adjust to her new set-up.

For those looking to adopt Cookie, she has been crate trained.

Cookie may be able to share her home with another dog and would benefit from positive experiences and plenty of treats to help build her confidence.

John, Spaniel crossbreed, 6-month-old

The Northern Echo:

John is searching for a forever home with plenty of dog experience to help make his new life the best one possible.

He is a friendly and playful puppy who would prefer to live with a well-trained dog in his new home.

John will need an adult-only home or a home with older teenagers, as well as a secure outdoor space for play and exercise.
