A man has been arrested after a large quantity of cannabis was seized from an address by police, along with cash, weapons and firearms. 

Specialist officers from Greater Eston and Guisborough Neighbourhood Policing Teams executed a drugs warrant at a property West Row, Eston, on Friday, June 30.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of criminal property.

He has been released on bail whilst further enquiries take place.

Following the arrest, Inspector Ian Mitchell, from the neighbourhood team, said: “On behalf of the Greater Eston Neighbourhood Team, I would like to extend my gratitude to the public for their invaluable support and cooperation in aiding us with crucial information that led to the successful recovery of drugs and cash. Your help played a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.
