A popular dog groomer has relocated to open her own salon - and is on the lookout for new canine clients.

Olivia Gatiss, the self-employed owner of Bubble Buddies Dog Grooming by Liv, has taken the plunge and opened her own salon in School Aycliffe, a small village on the outskirts of Newton Aycliffe.

The new independent salon was a garage conversion at Olivia's home and is decked out with the latest dog grooming tech.

It means Olivia can operate Bubble Buddies dog grooming services from her home, though she has had to leave some clients behind since her business moved from Darlington.

Olivia, who has her own dogs Jovi, Buddy and Miley, has always had a "love for animals", and has recently attained a dog grooming diploma.

Olivia said: "I have a diploma in dog grooming - including canine first aid - alongside my animal management degree. I have just always loved dogs and have a real passion for animals!"
