Unique pictures have given a brief last-chance look inside a popular North East pub as its demolition got underway today.
The former Hogans pub, on Victoria Road, will be flattened to pave the way for an upgraded station entrance and car park pick-up and drop-off points.
With works to topple the building beginning, new and unique pictures captured by Neil Sturgeon on the Northern Echo camera club reveal the inside of the building for the very last time.
Pictures show a dilapidated building with bits of rubble, wood and seating strewn across the floor.
Loose wires can also be seen as the inside has been stripped bare of all its fixtures and fittings.

Some old photographs can still be spotted in the pub, along with all the old signage.
The redevelopment is part of a wider masterplan for Darlington’s Bank Top station which will create three new platforms to accommodate current services and improve rail connections both within the Tees Valley and beyond via the East Coast Main Line.
Hogans, previously know at the Park Hotel, is seen as a local landmark in that area of town and was originally built as a Temperance Hotel.
The station overhaul will be completed in 2025 in time for the Stockton and Darlington Railway bicentennial celebrations and has been funded by £105 million Government investment.
