A North East town hall has been spotted on the popular TV show Vera as fans in the region “loved it.”
Fans of the popular show will have spotted the instantly-recognisable Town Hall in Darlington after last night’s episode.
The Northern Echo covered the filming when it arrived in the town centre back in April of last year.
Hundreds of people flocked to the location to catch Kenny Doughty, who plays DS Aiden Healey, outside of the Darlington building.
It comes as filming for the twelfth series of the hugely-successful show, which sees Brenda Blethyn reprise as DCI Vera Stanhope, recently got underway.

Darlington Borough Council signs were replaced with the fictional "Northumberland and City Council" logo and extras were buzzing around outside the entrance.
The council was keen to share their excitement at spotting the hall during the show.
A spokesperson for Darlington Borough Council said: “Did all you Vera fans spot our very own Town Hall in last night's episode?
“We couldn't resist sharing a few pics from the day the team came along for filming last year, it was fabulous and great to see the end result. If you missed it you can catch up on ITVX.”
