With the end of the year fast approaching and many people gearing to welcome the new year with a party  - we’ve pulled together a list of places you can go in the North East to celebrate.

When it comes to New Year's Eve events, it just turns out that there are a lot of great options across the region for this as well.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet meal with your significant other, or you want to welcome the new year with a drink-infused party – this list has a range of options across County Durham and Darlington

1. South Causey Inn, Stanley, County Durham

The ever-popular South Causey Inn in Stanley is offering customers a chance to “make this New Year’s Eve one to remember” with their event.

Offering a range of rooms and places for you to welcome in the new year the venue will offer guests a menu of food and a “carefully curated” cocktail list.

Those looking to go a bit extra with their New Year’s celebrations can also book a room with their visit – so you won’t have to worry about a taxi back.

2. Ramside Hall, Carrville, Durham

Ramside Hall will be bringing in the New Year with a bang thanks to their party in the Bishop’s Suite.

Party-goers will be able to enjoy all of the biggest party hits from the 90s all night long.

The description for the event adds: “This sensational live production show combines stunning vocalists with club-ready dancers, perfect for everyone’s inner party animal.”

The bar will be open from 6.30pm, with a four course dinner with coffee served from 7.30pm.

The bar will close at 1.30am with carriages at 2am.

Ticket prices are sitting at £49.95 for an adult.

3. Radisson Blu Hotel, Frankland Lane, Durham

Customers can “say goodbye to the old” and toast in the new with food, entertainment and company at Radisson Blu Hotel.

Starting with drinks and a canape reception, customers can then enjoy a four course meal with a half of a bottle of wine per person.

Live entertainment will also be part of the event before customers can “dance the night away” at midnight.

4. The Canteen Bar and Kitchen, Byerley Road, Shildon

Event goers to this New Year’s Eve party can enjoy “fantastic” vocals from Ana Munoz Saiz.

The singer will be singing popular songs from the 80s, 90s and 2000s.

Tickets cost just £5.

5. The Ranch Italian Steakhouse, Seaham

Details are limited for this event, however, it seems it will run from 4.30pm until 1.00a.

Tickets cost between £6 and £16.75.

6. Steam Machine Brewing Company, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham

Steam Machine is offering a very different way to bring in the New Year this year with their Caribbean Cruise in a Craft Brewery.

People can enjoy live music, a Caribbean buffet and unique beers and more.

Tickets cost £18.92.

7. Beamish Hall Hotel, Copy Lane, Beamish, Stanley, County Durham

Take a step back in time and enjoy New Year’s Eve with Beamish Hall’s New Year’s Eve Carnival.

The evening will offer a range of entertainment including fire eaters, live music and more.

Hungry stomachs will be quenched with an “indulgent” five-course meal with live entertainers in between each coarse and a grand carnival finale to finish off.

Customers can dance away the rest of the night and countdown the New Year with a fireworks display at Midnight.

A dress code of “dress to impress” is required.

Tickets are on the pricey side for this event sitting at £145.00 per person.

8. Tudhoe Victory Club, York Hill Crescent, Spennymoor, County Durham

This party night play host to the Jukebox Vandals and customers can sing and dance into the New Year.

Doors are set to open from 6.30pm and tickets are just £5.

9. Walkers Lounge Bar Kitchen, Newcastle Upon Tyne

People can enjoy ‘Clubland Classix’ with live sax player Katherine Byford Adams.

The event will run from 6pm until 1am and tickets cost £6 with a ‘bottomless option’ for £27.75.

10. EDGE Venue, Castlegate Mill, Riverside, Stockton-on-Tees

Offering a more family-friendly option customers can enjoy a New Year’s Eve party at EDGE Venue.

The venue offers something for the whole family including pizza and chips to feed a table, a bouncy castle and an arts and craft area in EDGE venue.
