I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here presenter Ant McPartlin didn't spare Sue Cleaver's embarrassment as she took a swipe during the celebs' latest challenge.

Coronation Street star Sue was chosen to be former health secretary Matt Hancock and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner's 'phone a friend' in the jungle reality show's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-inspired trial.

Before getting the chance to answer the question 'which of these happened first?', which had 'Coronation Street first aired' as one of the options, Sue begged the presenting duo Ant and Dec to be spared from embarrassment and snapped: "Oh, please don't humiliate me on TV."

But Ant responded bluntly: "Well, don't come on I'm A Celebrity then Sue!"

Following the moment that fans of the ITV programme are calling 'iconic' many took to social media to say that they were in stitches at his brutal response.

One social media user repeated the exchange with laughing and applause emojis. "Sue-'Don’t humiliate me on live TV!' Ant-“well don’t come on I’m a Celebrity," while another tweeted: "'Well don’t come on I’m a Celebrity then Sue' ANT GETTING FIESTY."

Sue, who plays grumpy Eileen Grimshaw in Corrie, got drenched in green gunge while she sat on the phone.

Owen demanded: “Leave Sue alone!" and some fans thought Sue's brief cameo in the game Who Wants To Look Silly On Air? was a brilliant taster for her doing a full trial after seeing Matt voted to do the majority so far.

This only led to viewers saying that they want Sue to do a full challenge after watching her attempt at helping Matt.

However, at the end of Saturday night's episode, the news was delivered that Matt will take on yet another trial House of Horrors tomorrow night.
