A popular burrito chain is set to open a new branch in a North East city centre – and here’s when it will first open its doors.
Tortilla, a popular chain restaurant that specialises in burritos and tacos, is set to open its new branch on Silver Street in Durham on Friday November 18.
The restaurant chain was founded in 2007 and is widely regarded as the UK’s largest fast-casual Mexican restaurant group.
It has more than 60 restaurants across the country, including a branch in Newcastle.
Customers can purchase anything from a burrito, naked burrito and tacos, to sweet desserts and soft drinks.

The much-loved chain also gives customers the chance to build their own taco giving them the freedom to pick their preferred rice, beans, meat or veg, premium extras, toppings and salsa.

It will seat up to 30 people and is set to create 20 new jobs for locals across front-of-house, kitchen and management roles.
Tortilla have said that further information will be made available nearer to the date of the opening.
