An area of Redcar has been cordoned off following an incident.
Police have cordoned off the Westfield Court area in Dormanstown.
The severity of the situation is as yet unknown but there are reports on social media that someone was attacked with a knife.
Cleveland Police has been approached for comment.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said, "We received a call to 999 at 4:37am on Sunday to reports of a person injured in the Westfield Court area of Redcar.
"We sent one emergency ambulance crew and took one patient to hospital with a leg injury."
