A 47-YEAR-OLD man has died after sustaining serious injuries at a terraced house on Tuesday morning.
Multiple police vehicles were at the scene on Clavering Road in Blaydon, Gateshead, where a cordon was thrown up.
Upstairs and downstairs windows at the property have been smashed, and forensics could be seen covering them with brown paper on Tuesday evening.

Emergency services rushed to the street shortly before 9.20am but the man died at the scene.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Police received a report of concern for a man at an address on Clavering Road in Swalwell, Gateshead.
"Emergency services attended where a man with serious injuries was found inside of the address.
"Sadly, despite their best efforts, the 47-year-old man died at the scene."
