A MOTORIST has been fined hundreds for using a vehicle with a front windscreen that didn't give a clear view of the road.

Jonathan Peter Amos was charged with using a motor vehicle on a road when the glass windscreen was not maintained so as to afford an unobscured view.

The charge related to a Subaru used by Amos in Bishop Auckland on August 21, 2021.

The case against him was found proven by magistrates sitting at Peterlee on Wednesday (March 16) who fined Amos £440.

The 27-year-old of Constantine Road, North Bitchburn, Crook, was also ordered to pay £90 court costs and a £44 victim surcharge, meaning he has to pay a total of £574.
