A HARTLEPOOL Councillor has expressed her delight at securing new disabled parking bays.

Throston Labour Councillor, Amy Prince has secured the new disabled parking bays in the Throston Grange estate following pleas from residents.

Thirteen Housing have agreed to implement the new spaces for Blue Badge holders after Councillor Prince lobbied them to do more to improve access for disabled people.

Cllr Prince said: “Nothing could be more important than having easy access to your own home and the lack of disabled parking makes this an enormous challenge for some residents. I hope that the installation of these new bays will bring peace of mind for those who need this extra support and I am delighted to have secured this extra investment for the community I represent.”
