POLICE have released a warning to thieves after a stolen caravan was recovered.
On Monday, (September 6) Darlington Police were alerted to a touring caravan which had been stolen from Darlington – the day before its owners were due to set off for their holiday in Scotland.
The Force's Virtual Investigation Team worked to identify a tracker on the caravan, which pinged to a caravan site near Newton Aycliffe.
Officers from the roads policing unit and dog section were dispatched to the site, where they located the caravan, with help from their colleagues in the sky at NPAS (National Police Air Service).

Two people, a 39-year-old man and 36-year-old woman, were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
