SEVEN people were injured in a crash last night, with one teenager still in hospital in a serious condition.

Cleveland Police have today confirmed that an 18-year-old man sustained serious injuries in last night's collision, between Darlington and Stockton, which involved three cars.

Six other people received treatment in hospital and have since been released.

Officers are now appealing for information and dash cam footage which shows the crash which involved a Range Rover, a Volkswagen Golf and a Peugeot 207.

The incident happened on the A66 Eastbound near to Long Newton at 10.30pm last night, Friday, April 2.

Roads police closed the A66 Eastbound near to Long Newton for around two hours this afternoon whilst officers carried out enquiries at the scene.

The road reopened at about 5.30pm.
