THE most recent development in Durham City Centre has been open for just over a year - and in that time has attracted dozens of new venues.

The Riverwalk, which replaced the dated The Gates Shopping Centre, boasts a number of newly-opened bars and restaurants.

From major chains to independently-run venues, the former shopping centre has been transformed into a bustling hive of activity at all times of the day.
