A 69-year-old man has been robbed after using a cash point in Redcar on Sunday.
Cleveland Police said the victim had withdrawn cash at Barclays Bank on Queen Street when the suspect entered the alleyway to the right of the ATM, then a minute later he came out of the alley and grabbed at the cash. After a struggle he managed to take the money and run off back down the alley at the rear of Queen Street.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 40s and of stocky build. He has black hair and a moustache and was wearing a checked shirt, jeans and a black coat.
- Anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident, around 9am on Sunday morning and who may be able to help identify the suspect is asked to contact Redcar CID via the 101 number, quoting Event 83415.
