FIREFIGHTERS have put out a blaze that consumed a semi-detached property in the early hours.
Crews from across North Yorkshire responded to 999 calls for help when the house in Tollerton, between Thirsk and York, caught fire at 1.44am on Thursday.
Emergency services blocked the main road through to Alne, off the A19, while the fire was put out in a joint effort between North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, North Yorkshire Police and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

It is understood residents were taken to hospital as a precaution following the incident, however no one is believed to have been seriously injured.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service personnel have opened an investigation to establish the cause of the blaze.
A spokesman for the service said: "Crews from Acomb, Easingwold, Huntington, York and the aerial ladder platform from Harrogate have attended a residential fire where the fire had spread into the roof.
"Crews used 12 breathing apparatus, four hose reels and the aerial ladder platform to fight the fire and stop it spreading into neighbouring properties. The fire caused a substantial amount of damage to the property."
