A WOMAN has been charged with her mother's murder after her body was found in Ashington.
Odessa Carey, 73, was discovered at a property on Links View on Monday, April 8.
Her daughter, Odessa Carey, 35, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder appeared at Bedlington Magistrates Court this morning.
She is due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court tomorrow.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Dave Cole said: “We would like to thank the people of Ashington for their support and cooperation during this complex investigation. It is much appreciated.”
