A NORTH-EAST care home is celebrating after a member of staff won an award for his work with residents.
Peter Taylor, property helpdesk administrator at HC-One’s Ashton Grange Care Home in Pallion, Sunderland, has won a Kindness in Care Award.
He was nominated by colleague Neil Pownell, who gave him a glowing review, saying that nothing is ever too much trouble for Peter, and he always brightens people’s day.
Since 2013, over 2,700 HC-One colleagues have been awarded for their commitment to kindness with nominations invited from residents, relatives, colleagues or visitors to the home.
Manger, Lesley Dawson, said: “We are delighted that Peter has been recognised for his hard work and commitment in assisting with the provision of the kindest care. It is a pleasure to work with such a dedicated colleague.”
HC-One Regional Director, Liam Jennings, said: “Each and every day, HC-One staff do incredible work, and make such a difference to the lives of residents living in our homes. It is great to work with such inspirational, caring and kind people.”
