Transforming a park into a ‘galactic playground’, a hugely popular light festival will return this winter - and tickets go on sale today (Monday, August 21).

Back for its fourth edition Nightfall festival will see Middlesbrough’s Stewart Park taken over with an interactive art trail, live music and performances.

Bosses say the event, which is themed ‘Play Among the Stars’ promises to be a “cosmic event full of dancing stars and magical moments”.

It will take place from 4pm til 11pm each day from Wednesday November 29 to Sunday December 3, 2023, and has been a sell-out in previous years.

Organisers Teesside-based Stellar Projects say the event is a must-see highlight of the region’s cultural calendar.

Stellar Projects’ directors are Rachel Willis and Lyndsey Stephenson.

Rachel said: “We are delighted to be bringing Nightfall back again this year - we have put together some amazing art works together to create a trail that will be truly out of this world.

“We know just how special visitors have found this event over the past three years and we want them to come along to play among the stars and be part of, and help create, magical memories.”

Lyndsey added: “We have brought together more than 20 installations and performances for people to enjoy.

“The fields, woodland and lake in Stewart Park will be lit up with creations from both international companies and community groups here in the Tees Valley.”
