A vital mode of working rural transport was celebrated in the scenic setting of the Yorkshire Dales over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Almost 50 mostly vintage tractors took part in a cross-country run in Swaledale and neighbouring Wensleydale, in North Yorkshire, on Sunday (May 28).

The cavalcade started and finished in the picturesque, but secluded village of Keld, at the head of Swaledale, travelling over to Wensleydale in between.

There is a new ‘flash sale’ running from today until the end of the month (31st).
The sale offer is £2 for 2 months (monthly) or save 20% and pay £63.20 annually.
Along the way the tractor convoy crossed Buttertubs Pass, tackled the old Roman Road near Burtersett and passed through Stalling Busk, near Semerwater.
Organisers said participants enjoyed their day out in the sun, raising upwards of £1,379, and counting, with further donations to come, earmarked for the neonatal unit at James Cook Hospital, at Middlesbrough, via the James Cook Hospital Charitable Trust.
