A MAN has been arrested in connection with a knifepoint robbery at a convenience store in Darlington.
An incident took place at the Premier Store on Gladstone Street at about 6pm yesterday, Sunday.
A man is said to have entered the store and threatened the cashier and a customer with a knife before stealing a sum of money.
Durham Police say a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery after a foot chase and is in police custody.
A spokeswoman for Durham Constabulary said: “We would appeal for any taxis or cars which were in the area at around 6pm to 6.30pm and had dashcam footage to come forward.”
