Bishop Auckland went joint third in the ENL First Division with a 2-0 away win at Stockton tonight.

Bishops had the better of the first half, going close through Chris Winn and having loud penalty claims for handball turned down.

Kyle Patton almost scored for Bishops and Chris Stockton of Stockton had an effort cleared off the line before Bishops took the lead on 64 minutes, with a strike by Chris Winn that went in off the post.

Stockton keeper Michael Arthur saved a Michael Hoganson penalty, but Andy Johnson broke away and scored a second with a few minutes left.

Guisborough are through to the first qualifying round of the FA Cup after beating Albion Sports 4-0 in their replay at the King George.

Guisborough got off to a great start when Joe Ferguson volleyed them in front after 4 minutes, and he made it 2-0 in a goalmouth scramble on 67 minutes.

Ashley Lavan fired a third, but was then red carded for a foul. Ferguson completed his hat trick from the spot in the last minute .
