BISHOP HOGANS beat Alston Moor 1-0 to set up an Easter Monday Colin Waites cup final against Aycliffe Turbinia or Wearhead United. The clash between Hogans and Alston proved close with few chances but a first half goal from Liam Slater took the Bishop side through.

Middlestone Moor Masons Arms came from behind to beat West Auckland WMC  in the Auckland Charity cup semi final. Martin Hutchinson gave West a half time lead and Andy Howard made it 2-0. Scott Maughan reduced the deficit and Tom Fothergill's 85th minute goal took the match to extra time when Stephen Fothergill and Joe Richardson earned Masons a 4-2 victory that saw them through to their third final.

In the other semi final Willington WMC faced a tough tie at Coundon and Leeholme and despite a good performance went down 2-0. A goal in each half took the Durham Alliance side through.

First division leaders Shildon Railway dropped two vital points in being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Coundon WMC. Kristian Iceton gave the visitors a first half advantage and it took a late equaliser from Ryan Readman to salvage a point for Railway.

In form Wear Valley had drawn the last three in a four game unbeaten run but it ended today at home to DSRM. A superb first half goal from Jonathan Pearson proved the decider though the Valley went close in the second half.

Aycliffe Turbinia opened up a four point gap in division two in beating Stanhope SSC 5-2. John Barker and Paul McCain had seen Stanhope level at 2-2 but Turbinia added a third just before half time with two more coming after the break. Daniel Keane bagged a hat trick with Dan Dixon and Jordan Steele completing the Turbinia tally.

Howden Australian gained a tenth consecutive league win with a 3-0 victory over Wearhead United. Dean Hansom opened the scoring and two well taken goals from Adam Blair ended Wearhead hopes.

Staindrop Castle Rangers held Evenwood to a single goal at half time but Town added seven more after the break. Stephen Brunskill top scored with four other Evenwood goals coming courtesy of Scott Duggan (2), James Brack and Callum Crook.

A hat trick from Matthew Armstrong set up a 6-2 win for Wolsingham at home to Crook Wanderers. Nick Elliott (2) and Lee Tinkler completed the home half dozen with Yanneck Ayemou and Simon Littlefair the Wanderers marksmen.

Crook Albion picked up a point and two red cards in a 3-3 draw with Darlington Hole in the Wall. John Shields, Chris Clack and Grant Rankine saw the Hole lead 3-1. Albion pulled one back and Sam Green's last minute goal earned them a draw. Aydan Bowers picked up a pair for the other Albion goals.
