CONGRATULATIONS to Gareth Harris who became the first golfer not only to win the Murray Cup more than once, but on three consecutive years.
He played against Pete Hodson in the final of this 36-hole handicap knockout competition. The champion of champions winner was Jeevan Kumar Rai (11) net 66 on countback from second Ram Malla (6) net 66, third James Goldie (17) net 67.
The Hargreaves Trophy, a charity event for MacMillan Cancer Research, was won by Val Hay (23) 35 pts. The challenge cup sponsored by Margaret Ferguson and Medal 9 division one winner was Sandra Jones (17) net 74, fifth and division two medal winner was Marion Palmer (25) net 81.
The medal winners cup winner was Sue Marshall with a net 76 ahead of Ruth Suffell (7) net 77. The final competition of the year, The Kitty Coney cup was won by Jude Stamp. Terrible weather conditions reduced the competition to nine holes.
