IT was another week of great performances from Richmond's athletes with the Snake Lane 10 miler, the National Cross country at Harewood in Leeds, Pie and Peas trail race, Ormesby Hall trail race and the Tees Barrage trail race.

Rob Scott showed this week that he has come through the winter season of cross countries in great shape to hit the roads in the summer season with an impressive 3rd place at the very competitive Snake Lane 10, held at Pocklington. He had to dig deep to produce a sprint finish to just pip another athlete at the line in big new pb (53:21, pb). Not to be outdone Elly Robertson also produced a new pb in her race in 591st (88:12, pb). The national cross country races were held just down the road at Harewood House with the U15 boys team of Charlie Stephenson, Daniel Francis, Joe Reeve and Thomas O’Mahoney having great runs and bringing the team home in 13th place. Shannon Robinson also had a great run in the U13 girls race in 61st place. Nicki Buckett and Pauline Whittaker had good runs in the ladies race in 898th (49:03) and 703rd (43:56), respectfully. Anthony Jefford ran in the senior mens race (51:43) and Sam Kettlewell was 177th in the U17 mens race. Leon reeve ran for his dinner at the pie and peas race finishing in 9th and the 3rd V40 (21:17) after taking on the Army Northern cross country with another good performance in 26th and the 5th V40. Leon was also running at the Ormesby Hall 10km trail race with another podium finish in 2nd (40:55). At the Tees barrage trail race Diane Adkins is coming back from a spell on the side-lines with a good run over 5km (29:08). At Catterick parkrun David Hack was the 1st finisher (18:06), Garry Malton was 26th (22:39) and Ian Hepworth was 76th (26:37). Ken Harker was 7th at Albert Park parkrun (18:02). Lee Davies was the 1st finisher at Darlington parkrun (17:35). At Northallerton parkrun, Steve Middleton was the 1st finisher (18:42), Ian Christon was just behind in 2nd (18:46), Shona Fletcher in 4th, 1st lady and a new pb (18:58, pb) and Elaine Watters was 35th (26:08).
