Northumberland neighbours Ashington and Whitley Bay have been invovled in a transfer swop today which sees players returning to their previous clubs.
Ashington have signed striker Phil Bell from Whitley. Bell was with Ashington last season, and moved to Whitley during the summer.
And going in the opposite direction is midfielder Chris Fawcett, who was part of the Whitley set up until the summer, when he decided to move to Woodhorn Lane.
And in a boost for both clubs, the players are eligible for Saturday's FA Vase ties.
