England manager Fabio Capello is supposed to be on a managerial tightrope -- and one of the contenders should a vacancy ever materialise could be Bishop Auckland manager Colin Myers.
Myers, who is the manager of the successful New Durham College football academy, has just been appointed English Colleges FA national squad coach.
Myers is delighted with his appointment and said, “To gain national recognition in anything that you do is a great honour and this is an excellent opportunity for me.
“The support from New College Durham and Bishop Auckland FC has been fantastic. Without it I would not have been able to take on this position. In terms of football, Bishops will remain my first priority but I am very excited to get started with the national squad”. Myers, who is most unlikely to be on the same salary as Capello, will be joining up with the squad for the first time, in December at Lilleshall.
