Darren Mowbray, the brother of Middlesbrough boss Tony, scored twice as Northallerton lifted themselves away from Second Division danger with a 3-0 home win over Crook Town last night.
Northallerton scored twice in the first six minutes. Recent signing Matthew Coad put them ahead from close range after just three minutes, and then Mowbray headed the second. Mowbray added another from a Peter Bulmer header five minutes after half time.
In the first division, Stokesley picked up a point for their relegation fight with a 0-0 draw at home to Billingham Synthonia
