have now scored 13 goals in their first two league matches after they beat Ryhope CW 5-1 in the ENL last night.

Ryhope CW took the lead when a left foot shot by James Ellis was blocked by Shildon keeper Shaun Newbrook but rebounded off Dominic Curl and into the net. Shildon levelled with a low left foot shot by Matty Robson, then Robson dribbled 30 yards and slotted the ball into the bottom corner for 2-1. Zak Atkinson made it 3-1 with a low shot, then Billy Greulich-Smith tucked away the fourth before half time.

Danny Craggs added a fifth midway through the second half West Auckland lost 2-1 at Ashington.

Ashington took the lead with an effort by Dan Taggart, but West levelled just after half time when Nathan Fisher’s shot was blocked and Thomas Price scored from the equaliser. However, Callum Johnston scored the winner from the penalty spot. Tow Law came from 3-2 down to win 4-3 at Bedlington.

Lawyers went behind in the second minute, but then they scored twice within a minute through Dale Milburn and David Allason. Bedlington equalised and then took the lead, but despite having a man in the sin bin Allason equalised and Milburn scored the winner.

Chester-le-Street easily beat Washington 3-1. Kevin Dixon, Craig Marron and Andrew Clarkson all scored by the 53rd minute, with Kieran Bloomfield pulling a goal back.
