Crook Town have called an EGM for next Thursday April 30th to discuss the administration and future progress of the club. Ian Hirst has announced that he is going to quit the club in three weeks’ time, which means that the chairman, secretary and treasurer jobs are all vacant. The meeting in the Millfield Social Club begins at 7pm. The future of manager Peter Mulcaster is also unclear.

 

North Shields went fourth in the ENL with a 4-2 home win over Morpeth tonight.

Vase finalists Shields took the lead when Dean Holmes set up Denver Morris to score from a few yards on 14 minutes, but Ben Sayer levelled from the edge of the box within a minute .

Dean Walker put Shields back in front from a Michael McKeown pass, but Jordan Fry levelled with a deflected shot. Morris pounced on a defensive mistake to run through and put Shields back in front, and on 81 minutes Dean Holmes scored the fourth.
