MIDDLESBROUGH will start the new Championship season with an away game at Fulham.

Boro will kick off the new campaign at Craven Cottage on the weekend of August 7 before hosting Bristol City in their first home game of the season on August 14.

The Teessiders' first midweek league game of the new season is a home match against QPR, and August ends with games against Derby and Blackburn.

Neil Warnock's side are at home on Boxing Day, with Nottingham Forest visiting the Riverside, and will head to Blackpool on December 29.

Their first game of 2022 will be an away game at Sheffield United on New Year's Day, and their final home match of the season sees them host Stoke City on April 30.

The campaign ends with a trip to Deepdale to take on Preston on May 7.
